Time to catch up!

I am just saying that this may be long or require more than one post. I can't believe that I have let so long pass by with out updating.

Christmas around here was great. We spent Christmas here in NC and then went to TN for a fun visit the week after. It was great to reconnect with friends and also get closure for me.

January also has help so many things for us. Ann Elizabeth started cheering through Upward at our church...and she loves it. She only cheers on Sat mornings for about 45 min, but it is great practice for her. We also went to Atlanta to visit Walter's parents and we visited The World of Coca Cola and the CNN center (well, just the sign and a great Mexican restaurant inside). Little W LOVES coke so he was heaven being able to get his own coke.

We love our kids so much and I am really trying to settle into a slower routine and enjoy every minute with them. They are growing up way to fast and I want to make sure I can capture each and every moment with them. So, once again I am going to make a better effort to update this. I love looking back at the years previous and seeing what they were doing and what they said. It is a great memory keeper!!!

November Adventures!

November was a great month. Lots of BIG stuff. Walter is now traveling back and forth to Nashville, in addition to Charleston. BUT, we are thankful for a job and know that the Lord has plans for us. Ann Elizabeth lost her first tooth...and she danced in The Nutcracker. We had Walter's Fall party at school and he and Ann Elizabeth both had programs at school. November was really busy....and we had 2 birthdays, mine and AE! We had a great month.

October catch up!

I know that we are in Decemeber, but I missed Oct and wanted to post some pics of the kids on Halloween. We had a crazy month of Oct. From soccer to T-ball, visiting the pumpkin patch and parties at school, it was crazy. But, no matter what, the Monk, the gypsy and Optimus Prime still had a fabulous time Halloween!

My sweet baby girl turned 6 today!

I can't believe how time flys. This time 6 yrs ago I was holding my sweet first born. She was about 5 hours old and sleeping quietly in my arms. Her Daddy was of course right by my side and we couldn't keep our eyes off of her. She was the most beautiful little girl that we had ever seen. She was perfect. I can't believe that 6yrs have passed.

And today on her 6th birthday, we have baked cupcakes, played games, decorated for Christmas, cuddled on the couch and watched a movie. We have seen her dance in her 1st Nutcracker this weekend and be so kind and gentle to her brother and her friends. She has lost her first tooth this month and started Kindergarten this year. She memorizes a bible verse each week for school, wants to tell everyone about Jesus and is learning to play the violin. She has a heart of gold and loves Jesus. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter little girl nor could we be more proud of her than we are today as I look back and remember the sweet little girl I held in my arms at 3:52pm on November 29, 2003, my first born. We are so blessed to have you Ann Elizabeth and we LOVE you so much!

See You At The Pole!

Our wonderful school particiapted in See You At the Pole this year. It was AE & W first experience with it so Mommy had some explaining to do. After explaining what it stood for, the kids were super excited to go. Once we pulled up at school and saw all the students standing outside, the kids couldn't get out of the car fast enough.

Seeing all the "Big Kids" standing up for their school and for God and praying out loud in front of their peers, really ment a lot to Ann Elizabeth. She thought is was really cool!

Our Candy Store!

Ann Elizabeth had a project for school. They were studying Communities and so each child picked a "store" to design for the community. Ann Elizabeth drew The Candy Store out of the hat and was thrilled. She and her Daddy (and me) had a great time making it.

November 28, 2009 Ovens Auditorium

Our princess will be making her debut in The Nutcracker this year as a little mouse. We are super excited and really proud of her. We hope that you will join us for her debut! (Little W is super proud of her too...especially once he realized he gets to go and watch.)

Walter is Super happy!

Walter Jr has wanted to play soccer since last year when AE played. Well, every place that I found you had to be 4, or it was way to expensive. Until...I found Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club. They have a U-4 program where the parents participate with the child. PERFECT. Tonight was his first night and he LOVED it. He never stopped running, kicking the ball and playing drills with his Daddy. It was great! I loved seeing the Walters' interact and run around...Priceless!

This summer the kids went to stay with the grandparents in Atlanta and here is proof that Little W has Gram wrapped up. We do love this boy! Nothing like a foot soak while enjoying a Sprite (or Coke as he calls it)

Ann Elizabeth had her first violin lesson at school on Monday. She will take every Monday during recess time. There are only 4 children in her violin class and she LOVES it. They loan out a violin to each child so that they may practice at home and then they bring it back to class every Monday. She has played it NUMEROUS times every day...of course playing the same song, and showing everyone who will look & listen (including our great friends next door and on Skype to her Daddy). I am very excited that she gets to have this opportunity, she is very talented in the Arts for sure.

School Year Begins 2009

I was reminded this weekend by the "Ann Elizabeth & Walter Fan Club" that I haven't posted in...oh a month of so. So, here is the catch up...and then we will do better to keep everyone up to date on what is going on with us.

Ann Elizabeth started Kindergarten on August 20th. She was super excited and loves it. She is really thriving in her class and has made lots of new friends. Her teachers love her and she is so excited to go everyday. Of course, we still have the regular breakdowns b/c someone has hurt my sweet girls feelings, but over all she loves it. Last week so jumped in the car after school just beaming b/c she has received her first birthday invitation from someone in her class. Talk about excited. WOW! It is the little things!!

Walter started this past week and lets just say that it wasn't all that wonderful. He was a little under the weather and so the fist day of school was a complete disaster. Oh course he was great for his teachers and they just love him. "He is such an angel." WHAT?? He is so ready for school to start so hopefully this week will be much better.

Fun and Funnies of the last Month!

Life has been super busy and I really forgot that I had blogged until I came across a picture the other day on my computer. I really can't believe that I hadn't shared this before now.

We had a sitter one night while Walter and I went to dinner. Everything was great and the kids were sleeping when we got home. The next morning, Little Walter came and get in bed with us wanting to watch cartoons. He seemed a little stuffy and I asked him if he needed to blow his nose, he said no. A few minutes later he got out of our bed and said he was going to get a tissue b/c he needed to get something out of his nose. i just figured i was a little bugger. He started to blow and I noticed a little blood, then he tells me that he has a seed in his nose. Sure enough....this is what I found. Thank goodness all it needed was a good blow to come out and not a trip to the ER. Really??? Why do little boys feel the need to shove things in there nose??

We have been traveling a little and catching up with all our family & friends. We went to Atlanta and celebrated Gram's birthday and father's day. The kids had a great time with Papa & Gram, and then sweet Gram came home with us for a week to help me with the kids...she had fun too, but I think she was ready to go home once the weekend came.

We also went to Charleston with Walter and were able to see some of our sweet friends that I hadn't seen in a while. We went to the pool and then later that night had dinner at the beach and yes, I let me kids play in the water with their clothes on....I know shocking! They had fun, and it's only sand, it washed out.

The 4th of July was great too. We went to the lake a few day over the weekend with wonderful friends, attended a family reuion and then attended a cookout & fireworks show in the neighborhood. SO FUN!

Once I can get this posted...I will add more about what else we have been up to this summer. So much fun, yet so little time!

Trip to VA & DC

The children and I just returned from a wonderful trip to visit The Martin family before they are off to Germany for 2years. Holly and I met in Charleston 4 years ago when we were both pregnant with our little ones (Walter now 3 and Amelia now 3). We attended the same Kindermusic class with our not quite 2 year olds at the time. We became fast friends through the class and then ended up realizing that we were in the same new members class at church and the same Sunday school class. She is an amazing christian woman who has been so supportive to me through our moves and anything else that has come up through the years. Our children play great together and our husbands get along great too. Our friendship is just "easy".
