Thanksgiving together!
Thanksgiving this year we spent with my parents. We alternate parents every year so this year it was my Mom & Dad's turn. We went down around lunch time and spent the day eating and hanging out. It was great to see the kids playing together with my nephew. They are all growing up way to fast and we sure don't spend enough time together so this was a real treat.

VIP Day!
This year VIP day was extra special because we had both Walter and Ann Elizabeth participating in the program. It was so exciting for us as parents to see them both perform sweet songs they had learned with all the hand motions. Walter and all the kindergarteners were on the front and he was so serious about singing. He would only look at his music teacher. So precious. Ann Elizabeth was able to sit in the choir loft with all the other 2-5 graders. She was so into singing and knew all the hand motions. It was such an enjoyable experience for them and such a treat for all of us to watch. I love being able to be a part of my kids at school and watching everything that they do. Such a blessing to be at Carmel Christian School.

UGA vs. AUBURN!
This weekend for my 35 birthday Walter planned an entire weekend in Athens, GA for the UGA/Auburn game. He invited some of our friends we are Auburn friends so it was a great time. We went down on Friday afternoon and stopped and shopped in Commerce, Georgia at the outlets. When we arrived Friday afternoon and we pulled up to the most beautiful & charming B&B. The Colonel's Bed & Breakfast. It was beautiful and so romantic. The property was amazing with all the horses and the landscape was in full fall swing.

Friday night we had an amazing dinner downtown at a cute little restaurant and then walked around.

I really wish that they had more of the same types of places in Charlotte. To live in a college town would be great. They had cute little coffee shops/houses, wonderful restaurants and then fun places to stop and grab a beer.

Saturday was GAME DAY! It was so much fun. We headed downtown to tailgate before the game and Walter had another surprise waiting. Our friend Henry Cole came up for the game to join us. We miss him so much...it was like old times to have him with us again!

GAME TIME!!

Sunday we walked around the UGA campus where Walter went to school. It was so neat to see the campus. It is really beautiful.

It was the best birthday weekend ever. My first UGA game and first visit to the school. I hope our kids want to go there one day. Walter and I would have so much fun going back and visiting.

Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon
My 2nd ever 1/2 Marathon was a great one. We traveled to Myrtle Beach and I was able to run with some old friends....like as in we grew up together. Chris & Melissa Davis and their families joined us and it was so much fun. We all arrived on Friday and ate a fabulous Italian meal Friday night. Saturday we shopped and ate more and then on Sunday was the race. We all did really well and had a great time with all of our families, and kids, being together. The kids were troopers getting up before daylight to watch us and the spouses and husbands were a HUGE support too. It was probably one of my favorite races just because of the overall weekend. Lots of fun and family time followed by a little 13.1 run!!

Halloween 2011
Halloween I think is 2nd to Christmas in our house as being a favorite time of year. The kids love to help decorate the house with little trinkets (soap in the bathroom, fall crafts they have made at school, ceramic pumpkins from Gram and Nonie, and of course lights and carved pumpkins on the front porch). This year once again we had our friends over for chilli and trick-or-treating. Halloween was a school night this year so we started out early and wore them out from all the sugar they had eaten. Walter and Ann Elizabeth love to dress up and they LOVE for their Daddy to dress up also. He is such a character and always brings laughs to the evening.
